A Brief History

Camarillo Quilter’s Association began in 1980 when 43 quilters met, elected officers and began meeting monthly, except December, at the Camarillo Library. Small sub-groups were also formed, which met in member’s homes for fellowship and quilting.

In 1986, the membership grew to over 100 and the meetings moved to the Fellowship Hall of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Camarillo. In July 1995, with about 200 members, our meeting place moved to the Orchid Professional Building in Camarillo, and in 2013, with over 300 members, our meetings were moved to the Serra Center.

CQA meets at Camarillo Community Center--still on the second Tuesday of each month except August.
