About Us

Camarillo Quilters Association is a nonprofit organization established in 1980 to promote quilting in the Ventura County, California area. Our specific purpose is to exchange ideas about quilting, learn new techniques, improve quilting skills, and inform the community about the history and preservation of quilts.

The Guild meets the second Tuesday of every month, except August, at 9:30 A.M. at Community Center Auditorium, 1605 Burnley Street, Camarillo, CA. 93010. Guild Parking is in the east side parking lot (front lot is reserved for the senior center).

We distribute quilts to the many charities that we support at the June and December meetings.  Our Quilt Show/Event is held in the spring of even-numbered years.

Our guild membership is currently over 200 and our monthly meetings include a show and tell time featuring amazing examples of our members’ completed quilt works, an exciting raffle for multiple gifts provided by local quilt shops, and lectures and trunk shows by visiting speakers on a variety of quilting topics. During the break, there is time to socialize and to check out quilting books from our extensive library.

Workshops offer our members an opportunity to learn first-hand from the expertise and inspiration of quilting experts from around the country. In sharing our interest in quilting with the community, our members participate in community events such as the Ventura County Fair. We provide quilt displays in various organizations throughout the county to foster interest, and we contribute quilts to those in need through such organizations as the Casa Pacifica, Habitat for Humanity, Life Centers of Ventura County, Lighthouse, Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit, New Start for Moms, Kids to Kids, Safe Harbor and RAIN.

Be sure to check out our Programs page to see the great list of speakers we have scheduled! Guests are always welcome to attend our meetings (guest fee is $5.00).
